Discover the Fire Department in Augmented Reality in the heart of Amsterdam

We have put together a special interactive Augmented Reality city route on behalf of the Amsterdam – Amstelland safety region. The city walk consists of several locations in the center of Amsterdam.

With the Fire Department AMS app you can walk through the heart of Amsterdam and experience various -historical- events in Augmented Reality and various cross-media videos and audio recordings.

The app was created by ArtiShock to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Fire Department. This interactive AR app is a gift to the city of Amsterdam for its 750th anniversary.

About the Amsterdam – Amstelland Fire Department

The Amsterdam – Amstelland safety region has one million inhabitants, with many thousands of people who come to work every day, with two million tourists every year. This requires strength, the bundling of knowledge and skills and professional management.

Together with the municipalities, the police and medical providers, the Amsterdam-Amstelland Fire Department promotes and monitors safety in the region. A corps of around 1,100 people that acts effectively in the event of fires and accidents, but also in combating disasters and managing large-scale crisis situations.

CityTourXR

The AMS Fire Department app was created by ArtiShock Productions with the CityTourXR platform. This platform offers space for companies, organizations and governments to independently create and manage cross-media content.

Customers can create their own locations and so-called points-of-interest and manage the content – per location – with text and images. The design and Augmented Reality content is provided by ArtiShock.
